Time of the year again?

This is a no-frills, straight-up, easy-reference guide to TV anime (+ long running OVA) that commences airing within the March-April 2009 timeframe. Which means Fight Ippatsu! Jūden-chan!! (airdate May/June) is off the list.

Format hasn’t changed much, but I’m now including links to staff blogs which seems to be a popular thing to do nowadays. They’re great to check out for the behind the scenes going-ons, and for extra bits like art concepts and goods that don’t make it to print or the official site.

…sorry I got around to this one a bit late (this is to Julius + co.), been very very very busy over the last few days and completely forgot about it ’til danie~ did her bit. Hope the whole endeavour turns out well.

This is one of the specials on Kannagi DVD 4, where Tomatsu Haruka and Hanazawa Kana swapped roles for the store room scene. Tomacchan proved a perfectly serviceable Zange-chan but Kana on the other hand, struggled. She sounded more like a teenage boy, if anything – Kana’s moe ‘voice type’ is totally, totally wrong for a (mostly) obnoxious character like Nagi. Though I had a feeling she wasn’t making too much of an effort of it – her timing was off, she stumbled over some words and always sounded like she was on the verge of bursting into laughter. Would love to see Tomacchan attempt Tsugumi as well, to hear what sort of voice she brings out.

I think I haven’t written any profiles in such a long time I’ve forgotten how so to ease myself back in, I’m starting off with a long-time personal favourite. First heard her in Vandread (as Parfet), then in .hack//SIGN, and the love was sealed with Maria-sama ga Miteru. I think she’s well-known enough that she needs no introduction – it’s Toyoguchi Megumi.

Make that ‘Poking married old ladies in the boobs is OK too’. Married old lady in question is Hitomi, 42-year old full-time (eroge) seiyuu.

I would advise Ito Shizuka to keep her fingers to herself or Nabatame Hitomi might whip out the er… whip. Or strangle her, or break her skull with a hat stand.
