anison is killing my wallet, and other random bits
It’s the month of Christmas and time to wind my brain and my wallet down… or so I thought. Unfortunately the next two months are filled with lots and lots of CDs I wish I didn’t want to buy.
Misc thoughts
-Thank you Misshy for making sure Nana-chan got the OP and Suara the ED for WHITE ALBUM. Who gives a shit about the anime anyway right?
-I watched the video thing where Miyano Mamoru revealed to the world that ‘I DEKICHATTA KEKKON-ed!!!’, and it pretty much looked like he was being forced at knifepoint to marry the daughter of a mafia boss or risk having his balls cut off. I think the whole timing of the announcement did help the sales of his …Kimi e single which I actually saw in the top 10 charts once, which is surprising for a relatively new seiyuu like Miyano. Album coming in March, with live tour to follow.
-The Minami-ke Okaeri OP/ED theme titles are amusing. 経験値速上々↑↑ (Keikenchi Soku Jojo?) is a cross between the first season’s opening 経験値上昇中☆ (Keikenchi Joshochu) and mihimaru GT’s 気分上々↑↑ (Kibun Jojo). The ED theme’s title 絶対カラフル宣言 (Zettai Colourful Sengen) on the other hand, seems to be a parody of the first Zettai Karen Children ending theme 絶対love×love 宣言!! (Zettai lovexlove Sengen!!), with カラフルDAYS (Colourful DAYS) added in for good measure. I hope neither turn out sounding like the songs they’re supposed to be parodying though…
-The covers of the Ohtsuki Kenji & Zetsubo Girls CD made me not want to buy it.
-kure-nai is getting the VOMIC treatment.
-Noto Mamiko’s upcoming Character Song Best(Worst?) Collection has many shit songs on it. It’s being handled by Geneon and so far seems to include stuff from Ichigo Mashimaro, Ichigo 100% and… The Law of Ueki.
-I’m very disappointed that the Asu no Yoichi theme songs are being done by meg rock & Misato Aki and not the four seiyuu (Sato Rina, Tomatsu Haruka, Tamura Yukari & Hanazawa Kana) instead. Granted, the singing would probably be shit, but I thought it’d be a killer moe combination…
-LOL at title of Ga-Rei image song album. Not Kagura’s Cream Croquette, but Yuri-mu Croquette (百合ームコロッケ). Yuri as in girl-girl yuri. Yum. It looks like a great CD, with a lot of Feylan and even a song by the zannen OL niconico singer Sariyajin.
-This CD is gonna be epic. On paper anyway. It’s a collaboration album between doujin/lesser known singers and well-known video game composers. Duca x Ito Kenji? Shimotsuki Haruka x Sakuraba Motoi? Chata x Anze Hijiri? Sign me up.

Hayate no Gotoku cover album looks promising, Tanaka Rie singing Kanashimi yo Konnichiwa! <3 lol I can see RieRie as Kyoko.
I’m also curious with Himetra Anime Mix (whatever that means) out 1/21, I hate trance but the song list are yummy..
@Phil: It depends on which seiyuu and the tracklist. Actually I’m curious with what Momoi will sing.. but maybe not enough to make me buy it, since my wishlist is more or less as long as j1m0ne’s.

I’m heavily disappointed Noto’s CD won’t have Io mi chiamo… from the Gunslinger Girl image song album. I’ve always been worried that her singing won’t lend itself to singing, but in that one song, she manages to pull it off with shining colors.
As for message, I can’t exactly call the previews a letdown so far, but they’re not that grabbing as I expected. Also, yozuca* sounds so much like Maaya Sakamoto, it’s jarring.

Funny, the same thing happened with me once I saw the cover of flumpool’s mini album…
The Seiyuu x Punk Combi looks cool. I’m interested to see how people like Momoi Halko and Houko Kuwashima will fare on rock. I probably won’t buy it until after I hear it, if it’s good.

I think it’s something to do with how Hana ni nare’s string intro is a total ‘WTF! crap ripoff!’ of YOGURT-Pooh’s Hachigatsu no Echo. Labo was much better imho.

I’ve never heard of YOGURT though I belive flumpool DID borrow the string intro for Hana ni Nare. I liked Over the Rain way better than Hana ni Nare though Labo was awesome too.
Seems like we have different tastes in music, at any rate *shrugs*. Then again, I probably have different tastes than most people here. After all, I did just see BoA’s live this past Saturday….;) (random but I think you get the point).

I really felt bad for Mamo in the wedding announcement video. On Nico Nico Douga, the announcement separated the fans from the non-believers, with some fangirls even cursing his wife and future child and wishing that he really was infertile. There were some congratulatory messages in there as well.
There’s going to be another Zetsubou girls CD? The cast is cool and all, but enough already!
And congrats to Sariyajin on recording her first(?) CD! If you haven’t heard her, she’s a great singer.
