August-October Seiyuu Blog and News Round Up
I failed to do the customary blog round-up over the last few months for a variety of reasons i.e. I forgot. I guess a triple helping of pointless news will make up for it?
Nanri Yuuka is singing the theme song for Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus
I was convinced Yuuka had fallen off the face of the earth before this news surfaced. Song is titled Odyssey, which she performed at Dengeki Bunko’s recent 15th Anniversary event. No further details were revealed (release date etc). The game is ASCII Media Works’ planned 2009 DS RPG, which features characters from series featured in Dengeki Bunko including Shana, Kino (Kino no Tabi) & Iriya (Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu).
Kikuchi Shiho gives birth to second son. She actually went into semi-retirement in 2006 after the birth of her first child. Not many people will be too familiar with Kikuchi, her most famous works were as Tatebayashi Miharu in the Tokimeki Memorial games and Shirakawa Shizuru in Memories Off.
CapcomxMantoraxDengeki launch The Seiyuu World’s Fastest Hunter Battle aka Seiyuu Monster Hunter Battle. First up is Mizushima Takahiro and we get to see a video of him playing MonHun on a PSP and giving a running commentary. Exciting!

coopee reunited
The coopee duo of Kuwatani Natsuko and Saito Chiwa are back together, thankfully not singing, but hosting their own radio show. It’s called Tsunpiri (on the web)…. er, I dunno why they’re hosting a show that’s sponsored by Yamayoshi, makers of the Wasabeef potato chips – the ad has a rather annoying song that goes ‘wasabeef tsunpiri tsunpiri etc..’, and they’re playing around with a toy cow/pillow hybrid in the promo video. We’ll find out on Oct 24 what the heck this is all about. Maybe a radio show to rival Marunage?

For some reason I always find Koyama Rikiya’s pictures to be funny somehow (maybe cause he kinda has the same face and same position in most of them?) The one with Tanaka Rie is cuuute though, maybe cause Rie is in it? KitaEri hugging the post is awesome!
By the way, isn’t it Furuya Toru on the left in the World Destruction pic? (then again maybe the left drawing is by Miyano anyway XD but just wondering, cause I think we need two Furuya one above the other to make a Mamo height-wise XD) Kobayashi Yuu’s art leaves me speechless as always!

The Rikiya/Sayaka pic was from recording sessions for the Fate/zero drama CD.
Sweet pics! Pity about Yurika though. If she got a bump on the head that caused her to vomit, would that be a concussion? So I hope she’s all right, but since it’s been a few weeks now and we haven’t heard the worst, I’d guess so. I also hope that wasn’t her car that crashed, heh.
