Yay. Another round of musical chairs in the seiyuu world – Kuwatani Natsuko (Asakura Ryoko in Haruhi, Yaya in Strawberry Panic, Yue in Negima etc) announced on her blog today that she’s moving from her agency Artsvision, with whom she’s spent 10 years, to I’m Enterprise who are owned by…. er…..Artsvision.
Now we all still remember that scandal I’m sure, so I guess this is just another one in the increasingly long list of seiyuu rats that are leaving the sinking ship since the news broke (Kobayashi Yumiko, Mitsuishi Kotono, Kosuge Mami, Takahashi Chiaki, Sakuma Kumi, Imai Asami etc.). Oh, and Horie Yui made a similar sort of move a few months back too, & Nacchan’s good friends with Hocchan as well.
Interestingly, Nacchan says that the move has been something that she’s been considering for a few year, and in the end made the move to ‘explore different opportunities’. Oh, I wonder what she means……… probaby she’s
a) unhappy that she’s still only getting mostly bit-part roles after 10 years at Arts
b) been desperate to leave for ages like most of her compatriots but couldn’t due to contractual obligations
c) lonely & wants to join all her friends (Ueda Kana, Saito Chiwa etc) at I’m Enterprise
d) short of cash, and wanted to join I’m so that she could do eroge. Maybe.
This also means the Nanoha I’m Enterprise group (aka Team Nanoha) is expanding further – Nacchan joins Ueda, Saito, Nakahara Mai, Takahashi Mikako & Tamura Yukari over at I’m.
I like Nacchan though, her most recent role in Sketchbook as Fuu (one of the manzai duo) was a riot. Hope things go well for her in the future……… though I really, really doubt anything will change from this move tbh.
