Back to regular programming now, starting with a clearing of the Kyoran Kazoku Nikki radio show coverage backlog. Greetings from Tamagawa, Setagaya, Japan! Anyway, only got in around 12am-ish after flight delays, a long queue at the immigration counter and a 30-minute taxi ride from Shinjuku station with a friendly taxi driver who seemed incredibly interested in Malaysian perceptions of Japanese things: Taxi driver (Ushio-san, so his name plate read): So, is natto the No.1 most hated Japanese thing in Malaysia? [in Japanese] Ah well, he was pretty cool though and did give us a handful of coffee jelly sweets and told me ‘Girls don’t say UMAI, they say OISHII!’. And he was about to drive off before I shouted ‘Nimotsu!!’ (luggage was in the boot). Yawn. It’s 9:30am now and Lawson’s ran out of melonpan so I’ll just have a butter roll for breakfast. But what I really wanted to talk about is the seiyuu guest list for Kyoran Kazoku Nikki. You might already have noticed the appearances of Nakahara Mai (Chieri the travel agent) and Kitamura Eri (Pierre) but there’s loads more to come. The Kyoran blog listed all the future guests so keep your eyes and ears peeled to hear your favourites in upcoming episodes: Today, I’m probably off to Ueno and (in an abrupt u-turn), Akihabara >_> Hopefully my next post will contain pictures… While I’m still on the subject of food, I thought I’d show you what the Kyoran seiyuu ate on the radio show last Friday. Eh, I somehow got lazy and forgot to cover the radio show last week. So I’ll make it up and do both last and this week’s shows, plus some coverage of the live Kyoran event that was held a few days ago. Oh well, since I’ve been posting most of the Kyoran ending themes I though I’d throw the final one into the ring too. Tomatsu Haruka uses a slightly older, more mature version of her Corti (from Polyphonica) voice to sing the song 世界で一番ヤバイ恋~ (Sekai de Ichiban Yabai Koi~). It’s a half-decent tune, but I guess I was expecting something… crazier? Incidentally, to prove that they really are drawing the ending songs completely randomly, Chiba TV viewers will be getting the Gekka one again next week. The tvk raw that most of us will be watching will have the Hyoka ED this time round, and Chika gets the TVQ slot. The rest are TSS (Ginka), TVS (Yuka), THS (Oka), TVO (Kyoka) & AT-X (Teika). Just a quick heads up on the results from the inaugural Kyoran Kazoku Nikki ED theme weekly lottery draw: [station name - area = character (characteristic)] So we’ll have to wait til the 1st of May to see the Chika ending, rumoured to be called 世界で一番ヤバイ恋~ (Sekai de Ichiban Yabai Koi~ – The World’s Most Dangerous Love~). What an apt title ^^;; Further coverage of the radio show to follow soon – they called up Hirohashi Ryo (weapon) live on air, she was at Yasumoto Hiroki’s (lion) house along with a few other members of the Kyoran cast. The producers dispensed with the games this time, and made it a “Letter Reading Week” instead. Yeap, all they did was read mails sent in by listeners. Now that might sound boring to you, but trust the producers to come up with all sorts of crazy schemes and like episode 2 of the anime, the show desecended into absolute chaos pretty quickly. |
