For the last few years, Animate.tv has featured Christmas messages from a random selection of seiyuu & usually talking about their Xmas plans/their year in retrospect and to promote whatever stuff they’re involved in. Though I think it’s really just an excuse to get them to wear Santa hats. This years’ batch of videos have made their appearance - here’s a brief look at some of them:
Ito Shizuka & Inokuchi Yuka
This felt more like some yuri love-fest more than a Christmas message…. So in between snogging puppets and hugging each other, Shizuka-sama revealed that she’ll be spending Christmas at Horie Yui’s live event. Inokuchi doesn’t have any concrete plans either so she said she might just join Shizuka….. I can just imagine them waving glow-sticks & shouting obscenities at Hocchan after having one too many drinks ^^;
Inoue Marina
Marina’s message was pretty long - she sure likes talking about herself ^^; Inoue fans will know how her aim for 2007 was to ‘become a dojikko’….. obviously she failed, but she tried to convince herself that she had succeeded. Nevertheless, Marina’s already made another unachievable resolution for 2008 - to be an amaenbo (needy, clinging person/spoilt child etc etc) -_- Well it ain’t gonna happen anyway.
Momoi Halko & Hashimoto Mai
Where’s the Santa hat ;( That’s a picture of Momoi with a Lumica-themed Christmas senbei sent to her by a fan. The duo (Hashimoto is the assistant on Momoi’s radio show) talked about their year in general - Momoi mostly about turning 30, plus a brief mention of her travels to North American waters.
Yonaga Tsubasa
Yay, it’s the reappearance of the puppets! Yonaga spent most of his message giggling, repeatedly asking viewers if they had a loved one to share Xmas joy with. And he kept telling people to buy Oofuri & Gigantic Formula DVDs so that they could spend Christmas with Yonaga Tsubasa.
Nabatame Hitomi
Last Christmas Eve, Naba and the rest of the Shana gang were in the recording studio for the Shana movie. So she spent Eve dinner with the crew (including) Kugimiya Rie with both of them thinking ‘Man, I hope that I won’t be doing this next year’. Well, her wish came true cos she’ll be involved in a play instead - it’s still work for her ^^;;
Hanazawa Kana,Makino Yui & Nakase Asuka
Ooh, I like Kana’s holly-thingy more than those Santa hats…..sadly, she has no idea how she’s going to spend her Christmas. Nakase is going to organise a Xmas party with all her girlfriends, whilst Yui plans to go to Tsukiji with a few of her close friends on Christmas morning (she has a Christmas live on Eve).
