Hahaha. You know it had to happen – as soon as I start moaning about crappy customs, they immediately deliver the goods to my doorstep \[^o^]/ So here we are, the long awaited Parade… I was holding this post back for a while but I think the package containing my copy of Parade is stuck in customs somewhere, which means I won’t see it for another week or two *shrug* Posters always make those guys freak out. Brief thoughts on the album follow. I was browsing through Lantis’ special Parade page and I see that they’ve listed out all the store-specific special goodies that come with purchasing Parade. 16 different specials for 16 different stores xD Now which crazy dedicated Minorin fan would go buy 16 copies of the album just to get ‘em all? So I got some more stuff in the post today – a bunch of Chihara Minori CDs (not to be opened) and Spitz’s Wakaba (opened, because I haven’t even heard the song yet). Now I’m not the sort of person who buys multiple copies of a release, since I’d really rather spend the cash on some other album to feed the music junkie in me. But I had to purchase a second copy of Minorin’s Contact, since I made a grave and almighty error that rendered my original CD almost unplayable… let’s just say Natsu o Wasuretara now sounds like a funky hip-hop track. Just to quickly follow up moyism’s post on Minorin’s new single – as speculated, Paradise Lost is indeed the Ga-Rei Zero OP theme. Lantis has quickly updated its site with the cover, but no further details on the CD contents or extras as yet. The song is typical Kikuta Daisuke fare, but I think it’s the best of all the songs from Parade we’ve heard so far. And if you wonder why I’ve hardly mentioned Minorin’s new album recently it’s because I’m thoroughly underwhelmed by the music – don’t like Voyager Train much. I am enthusiastic about the prospect of a photobook with the Dream limited edition though! Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention that this is Minorin’s first ever anime opening or ending theme – dunno if Ga-Rei has enough fans to pull in more sales though, and with it being so close to Parade’s release date… maybe Paradise Lost won’t be on the album? The first batch of Da Capo II character song CDs actually came out last month but I paid zero attention cos they picked the two seiyuu I least care about amongst the core unit of girls to go up first. It was only when Chihara Minori’s Nanaka insert songs were released last week that I decided to go back and give those first two CDs a go. I was half impressed, half…. not-so-impressed. So I decided to find out more about the seiyuu involved in D.C.II, despite me not having watched the series regularly since the first one. |
