Tomatsu Haruka first photobook – HARUKAs

So I’ve got Tomatsu Haruka’s HARUKAs photobook in my hands and have now spent a fair amount of time flicking through (and sometimes drooling over) it. I had some initial concerns over the quality of the pictures and true enough, some of the shots are not great (who wants to see white lights or weird elongated limbs?) & rather blurry and the promised poolside pix rather unfortunately, did not come accompanied with a bikini.

I cannot offer scans as I am unwilling to destroy a book that has been through fire and storm to get to my doorstep (refer to this), I’m sure some kind soul out there will do the deed soon enough anyway. Blurry photos and stolen LQ scans will have to do for now.

Tomatsu Haruka’s first photobook HARUKAs out in October

I did a quick tweet about this but I suppose it’s worth posting about too – Tomatsu Haruka will be getting her first photobook release on 9th October 2009. Flyer above (to be published in next Seigura) promises a ‘resort’ theme with poolside pictures. Actually if that’s the cover I would say it looks retarded. Oh well, Tomatsu of the 20,000 faces, what do I expect.

The news was announced at yesterday’s ShakeXSphere event. Other stuff:

  • Toyosaki Aki is going to make her solo singing debut (oh dear). Official site already up.
  • Third Sphere single on 25th November, a double A-side called ‘Kaze o Atsumete/Brave My Heart’, the latter of which is the theme song to celebrate Ragnarok Online’s 7th anniversary
  • Opening of Music Ray’n mobile site
  • Next Sphere event will be on 10th January 2010 at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall, titled Sphere Colorful Concert
  • Most of the newsbytes taken from Music Ray’n no Kisetsu blog, the owner claims to have spotted the following people at ShakeXSphere because his seat was below the VIP section:
Abe Atsuhi (confirmed via his blog), Hirohashi Ryo, Sato Rina, Yasumoto Hiroki (Ryo, Rina & Hiroki confirmed), Asanuma Shintaro, Hikasa Yoko, Sato Satomi, Asumi Kana, Nakajima Megumi (confirmed), MAKO, Ise Mariya, Fukari Yukui, Sanpei Yuko (MAKO etc confirmed), Tanaka Rie, Fukuen Misato & Hayami Saori.

All four Sphere girls’ blog reports on the event:
    Kotobuki Minako
    Takagaki Ayahi
    Toyosaki Aki
    Tomatsu Haruka

Tomatsu Haruka Second Single – motto☆hade ni ne!

    I have a cold.

So, what better way to drive away the blues than by getting hold of the package that houses another bunch of CDs to add to my mountain of rubbish eh?

    Tomatsu Haruka in Evangelion 2.0?

Rumours abound. Anyway, it seems there’s a new character (the one on the bottom right?) for the next Eva movie Evangelion: 2.0 – You Can (Not) Advance. The flyer above also mentions interviews with Miyamura Yuko (voice of Asuka) and Tomatsu Haruka (Nagi in Kannagi etc) so naturally… Tomacchan’s gonna voice that new character, right? I’m told that the new character is Yamagishi Mayumi. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m probably the only person on the internet who doesn’t give a shit about Evangelion but if it’s true that Tomatsu’s gonna be in it – my god. How on earth did Sony blag their way to getting her involved with one of the legendary anime franchises. GJ!

On the other hand, I’d be totally amused if it was fake. I’m sort of hoping it is fake, I can foresee a lot of anti-Tomatsu threads popping up pretty soon…

Anyway, off for a short weekend trip (it’s Deepavali holidays here) which I’ll no doubt spend playing Castlevania. See y’all around!

    Tomatsu Haruka Blabber #2

I am rather happy to see Tomacchan’s performance as Nagi has gotten a warm reception; I do hope people will change their opinions of her that were sullied by past missteps (ToLove-Ru’s LaLa etc) but for now I’ll just remain quietly optimistic.

I’ve seen many people compare her Nagi to Koshimizu Ami’s Horo in Spice and Wolf, though Nagi’s speech pattern mostly conjures up memories of Yukana’s bratty Mashiro for me.
