Fukuen Misato Withdraws From Ga-Rei-Zero- Cast Due to Health Reasons
8th August 2008 sure wasn’t the luckiest date for Fukuen Misato – it was the day that her agency chose to break the news that she had stepped down from her role as Izumi Mami in the upcoming Ga-Rei-Zero- anime. The statement on the Sigma Seven site apologises for Fukuen’s withdrawal, with 体調不良 (literally ‘poor physical health’) as the cited reason. No mention of what ‘illness’ Misato might be afflicted with, nor whether Misato’s many other commitments will be affected. For the record, here are the projects she’s currently involved in:

Also co-host of Mizuki Nana’s Smile Gang radio show and was due to reprise her role as Kurono Kurumu in Rosario + Vampire CAPU2.

I shouldn’t say that though, it sounds like a highly insensitive comment if she’s truly ill. Hopefully we’ll get a more definite statement on her condition within the next week or two.
A little side note –> the blog’s gotten a little quiet of late because (a) It’s the Olympics!! I’d really rather watch archery and judo than anime at this moment. (b) The British football season is kicking off this weekend, which also means I’m not likely to be posting on Saturdays or Sundays until May 2009. So updates will be a little sparse until near the end of August – I’m sure most people will be busy with their Otakons and Comikets and Animelos and bright summer sunshine and what have you anyway.
And last but not least, I wish I had posted something about Hirano Aya’s diet. I guess it’s too bad her weight gain went to the wrong places i.e. flabby belly instead of bigger boobs (￣～￣；)
I think it really is illness, since she missed last week’s of Smilegang for like the very first time and she had never missed an episode since the show started. (though they replaced her with Yukarin, which made it lulz).
Hope she gets better soon, I do kind of like her Yoshika in Strike Witches….

And if Aya Hirano is obese, then I’m about the size of a blue whale.
eh, Hirano Aya can do a little sit-up I guess. Her belly does show.. other parts are still stick-thin, though, at least I’m convinced that she’s human too.

Seems like there’s something wrong with Misato-san’s throat, and it got a bit better in the previous ep but couldn’t make it this time round…? Poor thing.

No, just that it’s pretty obvious that Hirano has a gut in her recent bikini photos, just like what j1m0ne said. If she wants to do more gravure shots, she does indeed need to lose that gut (I’m not sure a meatless diet is exactly the right method, she needs training instead IMO).
Seriously, she’s doesn’t have the assets to cut it as a gravure model compared to the thousands of girls that you can see regularly in young men magazines, so I don’t even know why she’s bothering.
Stomach crunches are the order of the day!
I’m guessing Misaton has laryngitis or some throat ailment of some kind, so she needs to cut out some, but not all of her work load to give her throat some rest…. A shame, she’s been getting a lot more roles lately that I’ve liked.
Kinda OT, was I the only one thought Katou Emiri’s voice is a bit like Fuken’s when first heard her voice?^^; Thought it was kinda amusing seein them together in Dark than Black then.
