Hirano Aya, Mizuki Nana to headline WHITE ALBUM seiyuu cast

So it’s true after all that Mizuki Nana is going to be in the anime adaptation of Leaf’s 1998 visual novel WHITE ALBUM. With Elements Garden composing the music, I wonder if we’ll get at least an opening or ending theme by Nana. It’s more likely that Hirano Aya, being the voice of the main character’s girlfriend, will get the gig but if it came to that…then they should stick to hiring the usual Aquaplus singers like Suara or Motoda Emi ^^;;

Anyway, Seven Arcs (Nanoha series) are behind this - most of the staff look unfamiliar to me, never heard of the director either. Anime is currently slated to air in January 2009. Someone who’s into eroge might know more about WHITE ALBUM’s premise, which according to wikipedia, is…

the first bishojo game made by Leaf that has not used the title of “visual novel”, so there are some differences between the system of WHITE ALBUM and the other previous Leaf games. One of the most distinctive features is that the game’s hero already has his girlfriend, so the objective is not to form a new relationship, but to either keep the girlfriend, give up, or act as if nothing happened.

Right. That sounds exactly like the sort of thing I wouldn’t watch! We’ll see if it turns out to be good like true tears or bad like H2O in 6 months time…

    Great, Hirano Aya AND Nana-chan… On the scale of surprise hit on one end and utter crap on the other, why do I have this feeling that this is gonna leaning towards the latter and become yet another waste of Mizuki Nana (God, I’ve been pessimistic lately…)

    Mishima, Elements Garden and Seven Arcs, this smells like a King production to me. Which means that Nana should get the push more so than Hirano Aya, since Mishima handles all of Nana’s music stuff and King would be directly benefiting when pushing Nana, which makes them casting Nana as the other girl making much more sense (Rina is suppose to be the top idol singer in the story I believe, while Yuki is the young star). And heck, we all know that Nana’s stuff outsells Hirano stuff by a factor of about 4 even on a bad tie-in (Rosario…), and 7 times on a good one (Nanoha), so they won’t scoff at the potential money train on the music side here.

    Suara singing is possible, as Mishima also handles her. *shrug*

    Oh wow..this is like to watch or not to watch….
    Nana-chan *drools*…Hirano Aya *>..<*
    But then again this is gonna be a to love or to love MOAR story…so I don’t think I’m really interested..might just ended up buying a copy of it’s OP or ED…IF Nana-chan is performing either one of it. I mean…please..let her…perform at least the ED…pretty please…

    I wil definitely be watching this. I like Hirano Aya too, its just that I like Nana-chan a lot more than Hirano Aya.

    Nevertheless, Seven Arcs has done it and put two of my favourite seiyuus in a single show. Kudos to them, and please let Nana sing the OP and Aya sing the ED. It would be heavenly.

    I don’t really think nana will be singing the OP or ED themes, although i really wish her to do so. She is currently main focus on seiyuu job i suppose and the latest single is coming up on oct. it is not a good idea to rush for another single.
    I hope suara will be singing for that, it will make that perfect.
