Inoue Marina’s Dark Cosplay Days
So how many of you know that Inoue Marina used to be a cosplayer called Ori-chan? She never talks about it these days, so it must be something that she wants swept under a carpet to never be talked about again. But there’s still photographic evidence, so there ain’t nothing she can do about it.

So they’re not all that bad really. I bet Marina wishes she’d never done them though…. here’s some more recent ones that she did after she became a seiyuu.

Sadly, there are no pictures of Marina cosplaying as her Gurren Lagann character Yoko. Yes, those cosplay pics look like her (and maybe sound like her), and I will say 100% that they most definitely are pictures of her. But I’d probably need an expert to authenticate it….
Sorry for the lame joke, if anyone who’s living in Malaysia and following the hilariously fascinating Lingam case is reading this…. A scan of the cosplay pics show that they were taken sometime between May and August 2003, which is before Marina auditioned for the Sony thingy and won a role in Cossette thus launching her seiyuu career.

God knows. She used to keep a site and blog during those cosplay days, maybe she’s afraid some of those pics & posts might come back to haunt her. Who knows what other images could be lurking out there?
