Kakihara Tetsuya’s Blog (Angers Noto Mamiko Fans)
OK, let’s start with the silly Noto Mamiko fiasco. Now Kakihara Tetsuya posted some pictures of himself (above) with Noto a few days ago on his blog along with some silly comments fantasising about himself getting ‘caught’ trying to get it on with Mamiko by the paparazzi. He denies being a hentai.
However, Kakky had to resort to shutting off comments for the post after overzealous Mamiko fans/2channel users started polluting the blog with things like ‘Kakihara Kawaii yo Kakihara’ and other hilarious comments such as:
- 死ねよ不細工 (Die, you ugly [fag])
- この恨みは一生忘れません 私はあなたと戦うのではなく、能登たんを守っているのです。それをお忘れなく。(I will never forget this resentment. I am not fighting with you, I am merely protecting Noto-tan. Please do not forget that.)

And you wonder why otaku have bad rep, heh. Doesn’t matter if they’re joking or whatever, it just comes off sounding lame and reaaaaaaalllllly stupid.
Now I’ve been keeping up with Kakihara’s blog called ‘Next One’ since he started it in August. Kakky voices Simon in Gurren Lagann & er… Fujioka (the human one) in Minami-ke. And he’s got the lead role in the upcoming Gonzo autumn mecha series Kurogane no Linebarrels. He’s popular with the female otaku fandom thanks to his boyish ‘ikemen’ looks, unsurprisingly. Hmmm, what else can I tell you about him apart from the fact that he was born in Germany? Off the top of my head, Kakihara has the rare AB- blood type and he is a siscon (he’s got a younger sister). Erm, that’s it -_- I need to go brush up on my seiyuu knowledge…
Generally his blog is pretty entertaining, with the usual candid shots and amusing comments plus he updates pretty regularly, which is pretty rare for male seiyuu. One of his blog posts was almost entirely made up of the word

But mainly, I go for the pictures. As we all do. And there’s a pretty good selection of them so far – maybe Kakky will popularise the ‘I like yaoi-type shots!’ sort of blog, since the girls always do their yuri thing. Er yeah, Fukuyama Jun (left) and composer Iwasaki Taku (right) are the lucky(?) guys here.

I know I hardly ever write about male seiyuu – I guess I just don’t attract the sort of readership that’s interested in them, lol. But I do produce the odd one in every long while to dispel the idea that I only stalk girls all day/night long… I like pretty boys that look like women too!
Hah. Funny to notice that Kakihara pretending to be fooling around with Noto makes 2channers go on a crusade, while Ito Shizuka assaults other ladies’ boobs and nobody seems to care, when both are obviously played for laughs.

Yeah like the above poster said, it’s just a copypasta. That’s a protein but all it does is list out the amino acid components one by one. If you do that even something common like insulin will have a massive name.

Lol, I personally know at least one person who raged against Kakihara. Not that I don’t understand where Kakihara is coming from…Noto Mamiko is a true classic beauty easily capable of attracting both men AND women.
I think that post proves that Japanese otaku are much more passionate/obsessive than Western ones. They didn’t have to take it so literally…jeez.

Depends on what you mean by ’soon’ ^^; Work commitments mean I no longer have the time to do as much background research as I used to do, and I don’t like doing things half-heartedly. So there is no definite time frame on when I’ll do another one of those profiles.. maybe at some point within the next six months?
Tell you what – I’ve had two draft profiles sitting around for more than 15 months (Kobayashi Sanae & Shiraishi Ryoko) and god knows if I’ll ever get around to finishing them!

Not really that big a fan of Kakihara though I do like hiim a bit more than before after seeing more of him compare to one, two years ago. This fiasco is indeed silly.^^; Kakihara is one of those mainstream pretty boy seiyuu who often featred in the seiyuu magazines especially the ones aim for female. Not saying Noto is ugly but she’s only around normal or maybe a bit over that on my scale really. Kakihara for sure can get a better looking one anyday.^^;
PS. Was I the only one who find Noto’s look and her voice somehow don’t fit together at all when seeing her pictures for the very first time?^^;

I think that these otakus are just going over the edge with this. Even if it’s just a joke, it’s their personal thing. We have no right to threaten anyone just cuz of a small remark like that. I adore Kakki. And what ever he does, I respect it. He IS a man and a adult. What ever floats your boat right?
