Kobayashi Yu Photobook「Lovin’ Yu」
Yes, the lack of Kobayashi Yu coverage here lately has been rather depressing. I did buy her YOU&YU album when I was in Tokyo last month (as usual, I haven’t opened it up yet…and probably never will). But I failed in my quest to find a copy of her Lovin’ Yu photobook – I guess I was looking in all the wrong places? I managed to obtain some not-so-great-quality scans (props to anonymous XXX site) of it though, so I’m flipping through the contents whilst scrimping together the cash to buy the real thing – I just want the DVD that comes along with it.
If anything, Lovin’ Yu just shows why I’m not a huge fan of photobooks in general:
1.Yu looks retarded 90% of the time.
2.The clothes look retarded 90% of the time.
3.There’s not enough pictures of her legs. Well, there are some, but the person who scanned the photobook obviously didn’t feel like taking the whole book’s binding apart…

In a China dress. Guess Yu doesn’t wear it as well as Minorin or RieRie.
I don’t know why Ito Yuna immediately came to mind when I saw that.

I actually thought some of the pictures from last month’s hm3 (below) were better, they seemed more natural… or maybe I’m not used to seeing Yu all dressed up.

That said, not many seiyuu possess the model physique of Kobayashi – I’m guessing Hirano Aya is the only other one who could pull off a covincing photobook just wearing hotpants & short dresses. Maybe Nana? Not Hocchan though, townberry

Anyway, Kobayashi Yu in that cheongsam is distracting…that slit..that slit…I’m trying my very best to look somewhere else….and yes, the second picture also reminds me of Ito Yuna and all her colorful PVs…That Hamasaki Ayumi wannabe picture just fails hard IMHO….
Personally I like the picture of Kobayashi Yu and the dog and the last picture. The rest is just…well…either they look weird or as you said…legs…legs…and legs…
The chinese dress is kinda nice really. She wears it better than the rest.

We’re all just looking at the slit right? I hate the colour purple, which might explain why I don’t like the dress >_> and the expression on her face is…weird.
Remember that I asked you if you were going to cover this book. Anyways, thanks for collecting the pics, I didn’t bother to buy/dl it and now I don’t think I ever will.
I can’t figure out how “elegant” and fishnet stockings are supposed to work. And personally I like the china dress (yes, nice slit, but in pick another color plz), but perhaps the balance between her leg and torso forced the photographer to select this cropped shot? And that HM3 spread, geez, is that the current fashion? Like the fringe is see-thru and revealing at a zettai ryouiki level. No wonder there’s no front shot. (drool)
I would like to see a photobook of Rie Kugimiya and/or Mikako Takahashi. Or even Masumi Asano (oh crap I just remembered that actually have her “visual” DVD but I haven’t watched it, oops) Actually, no, just stay behind the mic and keep me dreaming.
I like hm3 pics more, as always.
@ Piyo: Kugimiya/Takahashi are not that photogenic, IMO. I’d buy an Inoue Marina photobook. Or three copies of Tanaka Rie’s.
Kobayashi really looks beautiful in these photos. The dress in the second picture is LOUD!

The dog picture is awesome. I think it’s the only one she is really smiling in.
It makes me squirm whenever I see Yuu in suggestive photos; I dunno why, I just remember the less photographic days she had back when she did Negima. I like the pic with the dog a lot, though. :3
Yuu-tan pictures make me think she’s gonna end up in JAV I hope not.

That one does remind me a bit of Ito Yuna. Thing is, being an avid fan of both (Kobayashi and Yuna), I think the one underneath reminds me more of her. Or maybe I’m thinking too much along the lines of Nana… Or maybe you’re thinking too much along the lines of DREAM… I unno.
I actually think these pictures look alright. She’s definately a lot prettier than I remember her being. Maybe I’ve been watching too many of those old Negima lives. lol
