Mizuki Nana on Music Fighter
Mizuki Nana performed Trickster on Music Fighter last night – the good people over at seiyuu3 posted it on youtube, but you’ll probably want to grab the HQ capture (TS format) of it by hikkichan over @ Jpopsuki if you have an account there – you can see Nana in full glory, warts and all. Mmm, only a 2 1/2 minute long performance but I think Nana did pretty well there. The ‘backing track’ drowned her out a bit at times, there were a few rushed notes and she sounded flat on some of the lower parts (actually, the entire vocal sounds lower than it does on record) but I guess that’s just nitpicking. A capella bit was good!
Oh, and Trickster overtook Hirano Aya’s NAMIDAx3 in the charts yesterday (and is still above it today at No.14 vs No.20) 
No offence, but NAMIDAx3 is a bloody awful song.
seriously, I liked Hirano Aya’s “God Knows” and “Lost My Music”, but after haruhi she got just meh…

Yeah, her voice in is a tad lower than the record.. but it was still great. Loved the 20-seconds dance from 1:50~ <3<3

Actually, I think Namida^3 is her best song since God Knows. Serious.
It won’t beat God Knows, but at least it doesn’t sound obnoxious or pretentious. I think it’s the simplicity of the pop-ness of the song

I actually thought the same thing except add in Unnamed World. Despite that obnoxious note at the end, Aya’s voice doesn’t sound grating in Namidax3. Or maybe my expectations are too low -__-.

Not a capella, but I actually went through all my Nana DVDs and ripped all her acoustic performance during her concerts and compiled my own “Nana Mizuki Acoustic Collection”. It’s pretty cool. XD

I agree with you, her performance wasn’t excellent as I expected but at least she showed her talent and it definetly wasn’t bad. I’ll give it a 7 out of then, knowing how far she can really go by having seen her lives

i’m hoping there;s more live performance to come, it would be nice to wait the progress of trickster in live perf…
