News Shorts – New Mizuki Nana single, Ohmi Tomoe quits RAMS
Mizuki Nana new single coming in October
To be released 1st October, the single will include Rosario + Vampire Capu 2 OP/ED themes and an Animelomix CM song. It was announced at the BLUE SIDE of her LIVE FIGHTER series of concerts last night (5th July), not BLUR SIDE as mentioned in this Sponichi news piece. No mention of exact attendance, but the report reckons there’ll be a total of 24,000 people attending over the two days. 23 songs were performed on the first night, including Astrogation, Orchestral Fantasia and Bring It On!.
Ohmi Tomoe leaves RAMS agency
After Saito Momoko’s departure last month, Ohmi is the next one to go. Ohmi was never really prominent in terms of voice work, with supporting roles in Hanoka, RAY and Sketchbook her only real credits. She’s more well known as a singer and for her association with Okui Masami, who wrote & produced the bulk of her material. With Saito gone, it’s safe to assume that RAMS’ idol group Clover is dead. Is RAMS headed for a slow and painful death? Nogawa Sakura was their only real success, and at the rate things are going she’ll be the only one left pretty soon.
Tomatsu Haruka on Anispa
OK now I’m confused as to what Tomatsu’s debut single will actually be called since all the online shops list it as Hoshi Hiroi but naissance is being promoted as the lead song. There was a longer version played on Anispa, and I’m warming up to it more now. Incidentally, Tomatsu’s appearance was delayed on the show until after 10pm because the baseball dragged on too long, pushing its programming into haywire mode. Up until this year, Tomatsu was apparently not allowed to feature on late-night live radio shows and even recently on Mucom her appearance was pushed to an earlier slot so she could get home earlier xD Anyway, listeners seemed to be interested in what sort of guy gets Tomatsu’s attention so if you prefer staying indoors, wear a blazer in school with a necktie, have short hair and like getting hit with a harisen, then you’re her kind of man. As long as you call her Haruka-chan and not Haruka-san.

Nogawa still has a good 10-15 years in her. If/when Ui goes though, I think that will be the turning point when RAMS becomes irrelevant in leading the next generation.

Have you seen the photo of Haruka-tan in…forgot which one…It’s the one with Shiraishi and Hirano on cover. Man, she looked quite different in that one. Feels alot more mature. Kinda too lazy to take out that issue plus don’t have scanner anyway or I’d scan it for you. It also have a nice Tanaka Rie in tight black leather(-like?) body suit with high heels.^^ Kinda glad I bought it. Well it was more because for Haruka-tan in the first place.^^

Digged out that magazine(I don’t know why I always baby them so much putting them in the closet after only read it few times in brand new condition…^^;) and it’s Seiyuu Animedia May issue. I know it was Seigura ’cause I bought one issue before and it uses sorta hard cover instead of standard one. Bought pretty much all the seiyuu magazines on the market once at least other than the male oriented ones^^;, have to say Seigura rated the least to me since it doesn’t have many posters and the content was kinda lacking.
Anyway, back to those photo on that issue, I can hardly recongize her at all at least the cover one. I wouldn’t say the reason is her not being too photogenic but more like a typical problem with photographers or maybe Japanese? I remember years ago I started getting into seiyuu info and I’d check out their photos. It’s usually kinda a roller coaster ride a one could be really good looking yet another one is bad as hell and that pretty much applies to all of them. So I’m sorta used to it.
Any idea which episode of the drama version Here’s Greenwood would have her appearance? I’m totally not a jdrama fan at all but would check out her appearance at least.^^ Checked the official site and doesn’t like she’s a major character so not listed there at all…
Hopefully Oct. 25-Nov. 2 this year would have some big events that’s easy to get in too.^^(probably would be more ideal if not on Oct. 25 and Nov. 2 though…hehe) Going back to Tokyo again this year courtesy of my brother’s flight miles.^^ Better start checking out the event calendars now…
