so far the adaptation has been very loyal to the manga...
who cares about the second-handedness???

illiterate here:
Question for the drama;
What was the reward Takako mentioned for the winner of the ping-pong match? It was Jin's ???? err what?...

@maskawaih
I would give Kurata Hideyuki & Kadowaki Satoshi (poor soul, I hope he's gotten some sleep lately) a bit more credit in making Kannagi successful, Yamakan seems to be more consumed with showing his displeasure at Kyoto Animation than anything else...

And all that 'refusal to put product placement in Lucky Star stuff' is still just conjecture. I doubt KyoAni will be losing any sleep over Yamakan anytime soon, no one director is bigger than the studio (btw Yamakan didn't move to A-1 - he established Ordet, who happen to collaborate with A-1 a lot).

Actually, what makes Kannagi look quite good due to it's production. Few know that director of Kannagi was actually the one who made Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu get through the crowds and became a phenomenon. The director was fired after 4th episode of Lucky Star due to his reluctancy to include advertisements within the anime as he thinks it might disturb the flow of story (KyoAni is famous for incorporating ads within their anime). As he moved to A-1, he brought along some of his loyal staffs with him. KyoAni will be having hard time now.

@j1m0ne

The cynic in me says that they only did it "for show" just to have something on paper which says "hey! we did the auditions! It's all fair!", but I'm fairly certain it was internally decided that it was going to be Tomatsu anyway. Not that she doesn't deserve it nor that she's not doing a good job at it or anything....
