I was originally going to review this week’s batch of anime-related music but I thought - Stuff it, I can’t bring myself to listen to happy happy crap like Buono! when the weather here has been the absolute dogs, all wind and rain and flying cows everytime I look out the window :/


So anyway, the point of this post is to inform you, dear reader, that I will be away for a week starting tomorrow (16th May). Where am I going? No, not the moon you fools. I’m actually off on a trip to Tokyo, where I’ll be doing rather touristy things like running through the streets of Harajuku dressed like a viking on a Saturday afternoon, screaming Spam!Spam!Spam! at the top of my lungs.

Well, not really. But since this is primarily a shopping trip, I guess visits to Ameyoko, Nakamise and er…¥100 shops are in order. You’ll probably think I’m mad, but I’ve no real plans to go to Akiba as of yet. I have drawn up a provisional shopping list though, consisting mainly of CDs, DVDs, light novels & some other seiyuu-related stuff (thank god I’m not into figurines!) but I’m sure I’ll end up with tons of crap I don’t need >_> Somehow, I have this inability to walk past a gashapon machine without depositing my coins in it >_>

Not going to Disneyland this time around, I already went on my last trip 2 years ago. Ghibli museum or Sanrio Puroland maybe?

So I’ll spare you the incessant garbage seiyuu videos and the yuriyuri lovefest-filled posts etc for a week! I might post some pics from the trip when I’m there - but you won’t see any that feature my pasty, pie-filled face. The camera lens might break from the shock of my butt-ugliness if I tried…

If you’re only able to listen to one Japanese album this week, make it Superfly’s self-titled debut - it’s one of the CDs on my to-buy list. Don’t really care that Ochi Shiho dresses like a hippy and tends to overscream her vocals at times, her songs are great. The album placed No.1 yesterday & today, and looks set to easily pass the 50k sales mark. Woot!
