Oh Hey, It’s Sawashiro Miyuki’s 23rd Birthday Today
As it says up there, it’s Sawashiro Miyuki’s 23rd birthday today (2nd of June). It makes me want to shoot myself in the head with the water pistol that someone younger than me is that talented and has already achieved so much more than I probably will in my entire life.
Oh well, I can console myself with the fact that I have a better haircut that Miyuki. Haircut? Ah yes, Miyuki of the many bad-hair-days. She changes her hair more often than I change my pants >_> I have to remind myself sometimes that she’s only 23, because her unflattering hair often makes her look like an obasan.
I had wanted to save this post for a Miyuki profile eventually, but somebody on the internet read my mind and pre-empted me with a collage (see below) of her hairstyles over the years. Ah well, what’s the point of keeping it for later eh? I thought that I might as well get it out on this special day (whatever’s left of it anyway). I wish my scanner would work with Vista - I could’ve put up more pix here. Her current hair with the extensions makes me laugh~~
My fave of her hairstyles is something like No.7 - I believe that picture was from around the Gokujo Seitokai time in 2005.

I kinda liked this hairstyle actually. It was from earlier this year (the other two are Fukui Yukari & Goto Yuko btw).
Oh hey, it’s her latest long hair. She probably got the extensions done for her play/theatre or something.
So er yeah. Now that I’ve finished writing this up, I realise there’s only half an hour (Japan time) left of Miyuki’s birthday. Ah well - おめでとう all the same!

So she’s 23 and has been a seiyuu for about nine years. Happy birthday, Miyukichi. It’s really Claire and Hagino that gave me the high opinion of her I have now. And Ibara-hime, too.
Congrats on that great collection of pics. I admire the fact that you know the dates of quite a few. As for hair, I like the pic with Shintani Ryouko, which is something like #7. And even the Red Garden cast one is nice from that angle. But I like #13, too. Is that probably what her unextended hair looks like now? Good for her, trying the extensions, but no…. Do you have any impression of her personality, or of what others think of her?

Great post with all the hair pics. “Good luck with the extensions” is all I can say. I am currently enjoying her voice work in Diji Charat Nyo and Shugo Chara.

She should invest in more haircuts with fringe; her forehead isn’t very flattering, if I may bluntly mention.

Aww I’d glomp Miyuki lol. I find it cute that she picked an easily manageable style (the bob) which has repeatedly backfired on her (the May 2007 pic is the worst offender). She looks better (and more her age) with longer hair imo (i.e. #13, #14, the one with Goto Yuko).
Although on that pic danie~ posted, you’d think she just joined a goth band.
