-This is a relatively competitive week where 12 out of the top 15 singles & 17 out of the top 20 albums are new releases.
-Kanjani8 have surely sewn up No.1 spot, crushing Kobukuro in the process.
-Unsurprisingly Sid came out top of all the anime CDs – the former VK band have a sizeable fanbase & I’m sure a lot of fujoshi out there bought it as well. I like the song a lot myself, it reminds me of some of the older VK-ish bands like Pierrot & Janne da Arc.
-Maaya had a pretty good debut as usual, I like the c/w song more than Ame ga Furu actually.
-motto☆Hade ni ne! did better than I expected, so I guess Kannagi is really quite popular after all. I would like to know how many people bought the Kannagi version and how many bought the regular Tomatsu versions though…
-I wish Color Bottle did better, I liked them back in their indie days =_=
-Woah, Yukana is selling well. I’m not a huge fan of her myself but nice to see a seiyuu album breach the top 50 for once.
-Actually, No.7 for MilkyWay is kind of shit. I actually thought that the song is more tolerable than most of the poncey Hello!Project crap but the fact is that they still lost out to a bunch creepy crossdressers.
-Oh yes, I like to traumatise people so watch Yajima Biyoshitsu’s PV above. God, they make me laugh (there’s a sly dig at Ponyo at the end too). Ishibashi (the one with the afro) is sooooooooo stiff xD I like the song though, much more than those shitty Shuchishin ones but too bad they only got to No.5 today.

Just got back from meeting with the Japanese seiyuu fan I seeked help from for getting Marina’s event ticket!^^ Since I was just browsing around Ginza/Yuurakuchou today so didn’t go to Akiba other than meeting up there to get the ticket and had dinner(even though I already ate…^^; Still it’s better being polite than stuff myself…hehe.) or went into the record stores. Yesterday when I went to pick up my copy and there were quite a bit in the store but that was not the official release date. Also heard from that friend, he said alot of places are sold out or at least not on the shelves other than special Kannagi version.^^;
The meeting was really fun but the guy lives in Chiba(works in Ikebukuro… Man, that’s quite a commute every day…^^;) and he had to make to the train. Mentioned Tanaka Rie is one of my fav during the conversatioin and he told me actually he met her quite few times being working in related field and knows the manager. Also a bit about Kobayashi’s special way of talking angered some people at work recently stuff like that so he doesn’t like her that much…
So Ame ga Furu sold that much?! To be honest it’s not that memoriable to me even though I watch the series… Maybe it’s just not my cup of tea I suppose.
Can’t put my finger on on any particular excellent song. The last good anime song I heard was Sora by Hearts Grow. This season appears to have a lot of good anime but an inversely proportionate number of good songs.
Maybe Bump of Chicken’s OP for Tales of the Abyss and the Systematic People screamer for Kurozuka.
The last truly awesome anime song was Katahiza no Yogore by Last Alliance. NEED MORE of that.
Real Drive’s OP wasn’t too bad either although I do agree Katahiza no Yogore gets to you faster. The anime itself was pretty good too even though I don’t really care about the whole scientific mumble jumble.^^; The characters and story are interesting unlike Ghost Hound progress too slowly.(still like it and glad I stick it to the later ones ’cause the beginning was kinda zzz…) I also kinda like last season’s Nabari no Ou op quite a bit myself even though I gave up watching it about 1/4.(Just not that interesting to me on top the BL flavor.)
WTF did I just watch…?
I don’t think the Kuroshitsuji OP is that great. It sounds like every other whiny J-rock song out there. I actually like the ED a lot more! The only good Fall OP I’ve heard so far is Rinne ~Rondo~ from Vampire Knight Guilty.
@Vness
I like ‘whiny Jrock songs’ ^^ But then I think ON/OFF are dreadfully cheesy so that’s how different our tastes are right off the bat.
My fave themes from this season are the two Michiko + Hatchin songs by Soil & Pimp and Karutetto, I already love those two bands anyway. BoC’s Karma was just recycled so I was annoyed at hearing a 2-year old song I was bored to tears with already.
..I stopped watching the PV at 0:25 mark. Can’t unsee!
LOL I’m an anison loser so I couldn’t care less about the cheesy Jrock or Jpop lol, which is pretty good for my wallet since I’ll only buy about 10 CD per season or so. Damn, totally forgot to buy Zettai Otome, but it’s not as catchy as Romantic Summer.. ):
Can’t wait for next week’s Paradise Lost, Melted Snow, and ebullient future. But there’s a orgel collection or whatever from the bloody Ponyo crap also out on the same day.. ugh, let’s hope the same nightmare won’t repeat itself.
..and GJ for Yukana, let’s see if Ikezawa Haruna will have the same luxury next month. Haven’t heard anything on her for a long time and suddenly she’s selling an album.
