Seiyuu Net TV Program - URA STACHA! Ni-no-Ashi #09 - Kobayashi Yu
URA-STACHA! is an on-demand net TV show hosted on King Records’ Oh!Sama TV channel. The show is obviously used to promote Starchild-related anime and goods, and is currently on its second ’season’ - the first ran from January to September, with Nazuka Kaori & Hasegawa Shizuka being the hosts.
URA-STACHA Ni-no-Ashi is the second incarnation - the current hosts are Takagaki Ayahi and Nonaka Ai…. though officially it’s Uragaki Ayahi (Takagaki’s right foot) and Ashinaka Ai (Nonaka’s left foot). WTF, you say? It’s the truth, URA-STACHA is hosted by two feet, hence it’s Ni-no-Ashi (二の足) name.
Uragaki and Ashinaka have their own profiles too. Which are hilarious, cos they’re all a play on their ‘names’.

Anyhow, I watch it on and off - when I bother to remember anyway cos Oh!Sama requires Internet Explorer to watch, and I loathe IE. But last week’s episode was way too crazy to pass up. They had Kobayashi Yu on to promote various Sayonara Zetsubo-sensei-related items, including the new anime season and the character song CD. And she was in full Kaere mode, threatening to sue people, singing and screaming at the top of her lungs.
Neither Takagaki nor Nonaka could contain their giggles, with Ai-pon begging the crew to ‘End the show early’ cos she couldn’t stop laughing. Here’s a clip below showing Yu-chan’s intro as a doctor who claims to be able to solve Takagaki’s ankle troubles.

In other vaguely related Kobayashi Yu news, she’ll be releasing her second solo single which also happens to be the new DRAGONAUT ending theme. It’s called FIGHT OR FLIGHT and is produced by HAL. And some promo pics with Yu in cheerleading get-up have been released:

I’ve never seen either Aipon or Yu act like that. Kobayashi truly acts like she’s got a screw loose somewhere.

Her first single was Sora no Kotoba, the 2nd ending theme for Saint October - a show that nobody watched. Not surprised you haven’t heard of it ^^;
Incidentally, I’ve now heard a short version of FIGHT OR FLIGHT (on Dragonaut Radio) and it’s not a bad song. It’s rock - very unlike anything Kobayashi’s ever done before & I don’t think a lot of other seiyuu could have sung it well; the lyrics are pretty rapid-fire. Looking forward to hearing it in full ^_^
