Seiyuu Voiceover Work - CMs
Most of the time when the word ’seiyuu’ is mentioned, people will automatically think ‘Oh, those guys who do voices for anime!’ But obviously there is more to a seiyuu’s job than that. Voice work - that covers all kinds of things such as train announcements, narration work and of course, advertisements (called Commercial Messages in Japan).
Here’s a look at a bunch of CMs featuring seiyuu voiceovers, and a few live-action CMs thrown in for a laugh. See how many of them you can spot - Hint: most of them are from Office Osawa, a seiyuu agency that specialises in ad work. It’s just a bit of fun, and was inspired by one of my posts the other day that featured an Ito Miki McDonald’s ad.

You can’t escape him - he’s everywhere. Even floating in the air above your head.
This ad is…odd. You gotta wait til the end before you hear the seiyuu’s voice, but it’s easy to recognize.
I’m sure some of you have seen this ad before. The three voices you hear should set off many, many bells in your head.
A voice that needs no introduction.
Another excuse for me to insert a CM featuring animals. If you can guess the seiyuu in this without cheating, I applaud you. I admire her voice acting ability, cos when she talks in her ‘normal’ voice it sounds like she’s gargling sand.
Never fails to make me laugh - shame it’s advertising something so rubbish.

OK OK I’ll end with a voiceover, one from somebody you’ll have already heard. I may not really care about hearing her in anime, but her voice is just perfect for CMs. Sexxay.

Koyasu Takehito saying the trademark Mu La Flaga line, 「私は不可能を可能にする男ですから」, is pretty much a giveaway too.

While I will not post my answers since the above posters have already done a good job of identifying the voices, I must thank j1m0ne for putting this up. It’s a bit of fun for a bored anime/seiyuu fan.

abc & hashihime got most of the answers right ^_^ Awww, nobody recognized 01.Nakata Jouji ;( No.7 is Nakao Eri - unsurprisingly, nobody got that one. I don’t think many people have even heard of her ^^;; She was Miki, one of the three stooges… I mean, student council members in Hayate no Gotoku!
