Tamura Yukari’s 14th Single – Bambino Bambina
I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry (or both), but Yukarin’s first single in more than a year will be called Bambino Bambina (バンビーノ・バンビーナ). The single will also include the August ending theme song for an NTV variety show called Friday TV Labo and the new opening theme for her Itazura Kuro Usagi radio show.
Bambino Bambina apparently means ‘Little boy, Little girl’ in Italian. But that’s no fun so I went Googling to see what else I could come up with.
-I know Bambino! is the name of a J-drama starring Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun.
-Bambino Bambina is apparently the name of some online shop that sells…Korean clothes or something.
-Bambino is a brand of adult diapers, apparently targeted at ‘Adult Babies and Diaper Lovers’! ie people who ’suffer’ from infantilism. So er… if you have a diaper fetish, go ahead and buy some Bambinos. Rattles unfortunately not included.
-Bambino is some kind of seedless watermelon that was declared by Time magazine as one of the top 100 inventions of 2004.
-Bambina is a brand of ballerina hairbow holders.
-Bambina is a brand of fake nails for 3-year old Japanese girls.
-Bambina is the name of a Japanese aromatherapy school.
-Bambina is the name of a Hotei Tomoyasu song.
+ it’s a popular infant-related merchandise name, as well as being used quite a lot for Italian restaurants.
Yukarin’s Bambino Bambina hits 27th August and comes in DVD edition and regular flavours.
ROFL. Definitely buying that for the sake of owning something that is called Bambino Bambina.
Lol at the adult diapers brain..seriously…Japanese people have a weird taste on album/single/song title naming…But hey…Yukarin is coming out with a new single…at least…that’s a good thing…Now what in the world is my loli obaa-chan doing?! No single no whatsoever….urgh..is she retiring already???

Nah, she got no say in it. But surely anyone with half a brain can see that Bambino Bambina is not exactly the smartest title for a Japanese song… unless Yukarin plans on singing it in Italian?
Started checking some of the events I can attend in about three month in Tokyo. Too bad it’s still early so not too many things popping up but at least looks like I can go to Yukari-chan Matsuri since the tickets would also be available at the door. Probably gonna go to the Oct. 26th one even though I’d be there already on 25th. Too bad I’m a day late or I can also go to Hirano’s first live. Guess I could go the the Nogoya one….nah…not worth the trouble.^^; Plus it doesn’t look like it’d be easy to get hold of the pass if not living in Japan…>_<
Probably gonna try to go to anime center radio recording again since right now has Miyumiyu and…Kakihara. How often do they change the hosts? If it’s gonna be the same then pretty sure it’d be way better than the last time I went with Miyata in there. Maybe I’d get lucky(well have to get in the draw first though.) and they’d have a guest I like then.^^ Thought about going to Takahashi Mikako’s Payo Payo if happen to be one during my stay but checked out how to get in….very unlikely unless someone in Japan hook me up.^^; Can’t wait for my trip! Even though I’d just waste time in Akiba mostly…again^^;
I’m jealous that you get to go to Japan so often >.< Haven’t listened to Anime Center Radio for ages, wonder if it’s gotten better? Yukarin event would be awesome…
Nah, if weren’t for the free ticket, I probably won’t go there this year at all. It’s all thanks to my brother’s air miles.;) Come to think of it, I probably should check out Shimokitazawa just for the Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto NoS…hehe.
