I said I was gonna do something similar to the ‘Physically Attractive Male Seiyuus’ list for the girls, and I wanted to do it in time for Valentine’s Day but….. I got a bit lazy. Plus, I wasn’t sure if my opinion really counts for anything…..

But anyhow, I thought it’d be a bit of fun to break the mundaness of it being the night before my usual Monday morning blues, so I dusted off my yuri goggles and asked myself three questions when compiling the list:

1. If I was a guy, would I fancy this person?
2. Being a girl, would I want to be/look like this person?
3. Would I actually want to do the yuri with this person?

I’ve noticed though, that most of my choices fit more into the ‘classic beauty’ sort of look as opposed to the cutesy, fluffy sweet gravure idol types.

I don’t expect anybody to agree with my choices though. On to the list!

10. Takahashi Chiaki

It’s Chiaking of the sexy voice, dreamy eyes & big b00bs! This wild party girl doesn’t seem to need clothes anyway, they’re falling off most of the time. Chiaki didn’t always look like this though, just a mere 4 years ago she had hair that resembled a bird’s nest and her face looked like one of the grannies you’d see at the local fish market.

But now - she’s ‘erokawaii’, or ‘er0-nee-san’, and I love her cos she has a tendency to talk crap; witness her recent appearance on Anispa which featured er0-arm wrestling with Asano Masumi and lots of weird, intentionally ‘payapaya’ moments. I was also thinking… ‘Chiaki or Minami (Kuribayashi)?’ I think I like Minami’s b00bs more, but Chiaki’s sassiness/madness wins it for me.

09. Ito Shizuka

Yuri pimp, rawwrr. It matters not that she’s not actually that pretty and needs to fix her teeth. I just want to give her massages and be her personal maid anyway. In return for groping, teasing etc etc

08. Yuzuki Ryoka

Mmmm. Why Yuzu-nee? Could it be cos of her soft-p0rn past? Ermm (thinks of the b00b massage video)…. haha (brain explodes). No really, it’s cos I like her personality, which alternates between sweet and violent….. she’s a tsundere!

I have to say though, that she definitely looks better in her mid-30s then she did when she was a tween. Too bad she’s too busy being obsessed with Koyama to bother about anything else, sniff.

07. Inoue Marina

I’ve talked about Marina so often that I’ve run out of things to say. Suffice to say, I love her a lot.

06. Kitamura Eri

Dear Eri, don’t feel too down about having your marriage proposal to Kana Asumi turned down, if you want you could have me instead. I’d put up with all your obsessions over other female seiyuu, all your odd fits and bleeding incidents; I’ll ensure you an endless supply of sick bags and blood packs for the rest of your life. Mind you, it’s only cos I’d be doing the same things myself (the obsessions, not the nosebleeds). Yet you still have the ability to build your own ‘friendly female’ harem, with Kadowaki Maii, Shindou Kei & Morinaga Rika amongst those closest to you.

Just the other day, you were talking about how you were too shy to ask Chihara Minori for her mobile phone number and that when Minorin said ‘Let’s exchange phone numbers!’, you had another blood vomiting 激吐血(*゜∀゜)=3ハァハァ episode. That kinda turns me on! Oh, and it doesn’t matter either that you look ugly without makeup, that you’d probably spend more time with your Wii, PSP, DS Lites and manga than with me, that your mouth always seems to act quicker than your brain, or that you’re flatter than a washboard….. wait, I think those words describe me pretty accurately too. So since we’re birds of a feather, why don’t we flock together?

05. Kobayashi Yu

One word - legs. I don’t care that Kobayashi’s got the brain of a mutilated chupacabra/is thicker than a block of Antartican ice; I just want her legs. And her height, her waistline, her skin etc etc. Yu-tan is a former model, so she knows how to perform whenever a camera is stuck in her face. And she’s a great seiyuu; just a shame that her head and her mouth are messed up and she always comes up with the wrong lines for the wrong situations. But sweet-natured Yu’s the type of girl a guy would be most happy to bring home to meet mum and dad. As long as mum + dad aren’t into talking politics, or anything that stretches the thought modules.

04. Noto Mamiko

Mamimami is like…. the empress of the seiyuu world. Everyone wants to lay claim to her, with Nabatame Hitomi at the front of the line and Kawasumi Ayako & Toyoguchi Megumi lining up somewhere behind. It’s cos she’s just too damn nice for her own good, everyone wants to cuddle her. Including me.

Mind you, I still don’t care much for her voice work, since moe doesn’t work on me - but then again, whether somebody is good at being a seiyuu never seems to matter to me >_>

03. Ikezawa Haruna

I have adored Haruna from the first time I saw her - that was probably around the Gravitation days. Of course, I did not know that she could speak French until her turn as Yoshino in Maria-sama ga Miteru. And I was amused to learn that Marimite creator Konno Oyuki had earmarked Ikezawa for the role after seeing her present NHK’s French-learning program France Gokaiwa.

I don’t care that she sounds like Haruna sounds like a irritatingly squeaky mouse on helium most of the time. I’d sure like to look like that when I’m 33; heck I’m 23 but I think I could pass as her older sister -_-

02. Tanaka Rie

Ah, Rie. Short-tempered, tsundere-loving Rie. Ace gamer, avid cosplayer. She just oozes class, and is a great seiyuu to boot. And I love her hair. Kuwatani Natsuko compared Rie in real life to Suigintou….. I don’t think that’s a good thing. I’d rather people said she was like Maria or Chii, heh.

01. Chihara Minori

Minorin probably would’ve been nowhere near this list a mere 3 years ago, but I have to say she’s more or less captured my heart with her sweet naturedness; although she could do with a bit more upstairs - her ‘blondeness’ may be endearingly cute but it can get tiring sometimes. Sadly, I don’t think Minorin would be to receptive to yuri-ish advances either, I think she was forever scarred by the bizarre Matsuki Miyu’s advances on Oshaberi Yattemasu.

But it’s hard to not like Minorin once you get to know more of her personality. But still, her appeal lies mostly in her physical attractiveness, heh.

So no, no Mizuki Nana, Horie Yui, Hirano Aya, Tamura Yukari etc etc just for the simple reason that they didn’t fulfill at least 2 of those criteria. Oh, and voice acting skills go out the window for this one, so unsurprisingly the list is almost completely different from my top 10 fave female seiyuu list.

If I had a No.11 it’d be Kikuchi Mika.

but she ain’t really a seiyuu. She’ll always be Dekapink to me than anything else ^_^
