Tomatsu Haruka Second Single – motto☆hade ni ne!
I have a cold.
So, what better way to drive away the blues than by getting hold of the package that houses another bunch of CDs to add to my mountain of rubbish eh?
The other CDs I got this time were Nana’s Trickster (finally), Kobayashi Yu’s ROCK YU!! and Dew’s Hanazukan Bessatsu.
So here we are, the second of Tomatsu Haruka’s 3-month consecutive single release campaign. The situation’s sort of different to when I bought naissance, now everyone’s taking a lot more notice of her thanks to Kannagi, so sales for motto☆hade ni ne! have been fairly strong (No.12 three days in a row).
I had already heard and loved Shiawase Sagashi from its first airing on the Kannagi radio show, while motto☆hade ni ne! is your fairly typical upbeat anime song. Most people are more fascinated with the animated dancing that accompanies the opening sequence, but I guess I don’t really care for that kinda stuff. I would’ve been aghast if they made Haruka prance around with silly hand movements like a 11-year old Hello!Project reject in the PV…
Naturally, I got the DVD version of motto☆hade ni ne! The differences from the Kannagi version are:
1. widecap illustrated Kannagi insert sleeve A
2. DVD with PV + TV spots
3. different sleeve pictures of Tomatsu
and the Kannagi versh has the Kannagi illustrated booklet and sleeve, which I wasn’t bothered with.
PV
The PV is course the reason I opted for this version. It’s loads better than naissance’s, and better than most seiyuu PVs – Sony obviously have a bit more money to spare. Haruka’s hairstyle doesn’t accentuate her round face as much here, and GJ on the choice of hotpants! She also makes all sorts of faces – some weird, some cute, but not as cute as the dog of course <3

I found the wide array of facial expressions she put on throughout the music video very…interesting…lol…
Anyone else see some disturbing phallic imagery on Dew’s CD cover? Maybe it’s just me <_<.
The assortment of facial expressions in this PV really show all the different & cute sides of Haruka. ^^

Man, now I want to stay another day more now to go to the event and get the calendar.>_< Probably shouldn’t though as this trip already sucked alot money out of my account plus yen was too damn strong(still is) so for the same amount spending money I got about 15k less yen compare to my last time here.^^;
Tomatsu Haruka’s PV is really good. Not bad for a seiyuu who just months ago was languishing as Lala in To-Love Ru.

Actually I really enjoyed ROCK YU!!, which is why I bought it. A bit more ‘rock’ than the first album (hence the name) so if you liked FIGHT OR FLIGHT you might like this.

The motto☆hade ni ne! limited editions went OUT OF STOCK in playasia.com and so I couldn’t get a copy yet. $%@#^$%^#!!!!! Now I just really really REALLY hope that it comes back restocked so I won’t regret getting scammed before on CDJapan(Due to the delivery fee from CDJapan, I paid twice the amount of Naissance’s cost. Thankfully, playasia doesn’t charge any for delivery to Singapore!! xDD) But I guess it was kinda worth it still, since its Haruka-chan’s DEBUT single afterall… xDD
Man, today’s event at Shibuya Tower records wasn’t bad but the handshake part is just…^^; The staff keeps rushing people so you probably only get three lines out fast if you’re lucky. Even it was the third one in the same day but still quite a bit people. Wonder if there were people preorder like three places…wait…I bet there were some.^^; Other than singing, she also talked a bit about the video and single name. The original one was acutally “Jimi!” and the part where she played the mixer apparently are real reactions.
Marina’s event on the other hand was wayyyy better experience for me though because…I GOT the special price, A DRAWING of Youko by her!^^ There were quite a bit of people like 500(quite a bit of female fans also like….1/4?) even though the university is quite far away from the cities. The game was how much you know about Inoue Marina. First few were true or false and the later are multiple choices(just A & B though.) Question like is she a Akina maniac(X, her manager is), is she S?(X), is her cat female(x), does she have two siblings(O, This I can’t remember correctly…^^;), is her debut work Portrait Cosette?(pretty much a given.), which skill did she learn for years when was young, ballet or swimming(ballet), what was in her bag today, a banana or a stick of Hi-chew candy(banana), which character strap is she using now, Youko or Chiri(Chiri) and then only me and another guy left so the usual rock, scissors&paper and I got lucky.^^ Went down there to get the prize and got to shake her hand while it was sweaty.^^; Obviously she apologized for it and I didn’t mind for sure. The quiz was part 2. First part was just talk about some of the characters she did this year. Part 3 was few Q&A from the student there. There was one asking about how to be pretty like her and all and she didn’t say anything at all.^^; Then finally settle for get enough sleep. The the last was singing. She did that song from KITE which not too many people heard and another one, Energy was from her 2nd single. Both had piano playing the music so pretty acoustic. Like you guys already know, she can sing very well. The last was the Minamike OP and was the only one everyone allow to stand up.(well, the other two songs weren’t really suit for that anyway.) By the way, the third season is coming next year from what she said. Although I don’t think it’s really a surprise to anyone though.
As usual, a lot of fans came up to me for taking picture of the drawing after it ended. I can send the picture of it if anyone’s interested.(well at least after I get back unless you want the crappy cell phone quality one.^^;) By the way, looks like for any event you can ask the staff to pass the present or letters to the guest so next time if you guys have a chance to see whoever you liked, feel free to do it.^^
