Top 10 Most Physically Attractive Male Seiyuu
It’s Chinese New Year, half my red packet money has gone down the drain via low stakes card games but I still have friends to catch up with, deadlines to meet and events to help organise. So I made an attempt to start working, but after all of 5 minutes, I decided I needed a little bit of fun. And I reckoned that doing one of those image-heavy, top 10 lists was just what I needed to stave off boredom.
So I cast my mind back to a poll done by hashihime a few months ago about the ‘Most Attractive Seiyuu’. I read it with a bit of interest and a bit of amusement, and wondered if there was one for the guys, who would win (my guess is Fukuyama Jun). So I brainstormed and thought of 10 male seiyuu I fancy the socks off, but seriously I drew a lot of blanks - I don’t think I could extend my list to 20 (most are either too old or too ugly). I don’t think many bloggers apart from the Livejournal crew are interested in male seiyuu either, heh.
The usual jazz - this is my own personal opinion, blablabla; I don’t expect anyone else to agree with me etc etc. And it’s purely based on LOOKS, not VOICE. I just realised that none of the 10 below are in my list of top 10 favourite male seiyuu either, heh. Sorry if you think my taste in guys sucks, I like pretty boys after all. Guess I better stick to the Johnny’s guys (Ikuta Toma!!!!)
10. Nakamura Yuuichi
Tall, dark, handsome, maybe a little wonky-eyed but still smolderingly hot. And now that Nakamura has a little more money in his pocket and decent exposure on the back of Oofuri and Gundam 00, he’s gotten himself a more trendy hairstyle too. Probably needs to hit the gym a bit more to get rid of that extra fat though.
09. Ono Daisuke
OnoD needs to get out in the sun a bit more, he looks shockingly pale and pasty-faced most of the time. He still somewhat reminds me of Tamaki Hiroshi, albeit weedier and nerdier.
08. Takahashi Hiroki
I was wavering between him and Tsuda Kenjiro (Prince of Tennis connections), but went for Hiroki in the end cos he at least doesn’t look like a bamboo stick. He not only looks shexxy, but sounds shexxy too - although I’ve said that doesn’t count. Ahem.
07. Suzuki Tatsuhisa
Tatsu’s hair kinda looks sucky in that pic, but he’s cute. And less gay than Takahashi Naozumi, one of his close compatriots.
06. Miyano Mamoru
Apart from needing braces to correct his teeth and having a forehead so high that rock climbers would find it a challenge to overcome, Mamo remains an incredibly charming bloke with hair that I so want to run my fingers through.
05. Hatano Wataru
Hatano looks like the cute boy from next door that your mum would always pat on the head and give six pink and yellow sweets to. I love momma’s boys. Hey, he’s trying to look hard in the pic above but comes off looking more like a little lost puppy that has had its stash of bones stolen and wants a hug.
04. Nojima Kenji
It was clear from the start that Ken had gotten the bulk of dad Nojima Akio’s good genes, with older brother Hirofumi having only inherited the ‘goldfish out of water’ wide-eyed look. Nojiken almost looks Korean, from certain angles - and he has a clean-cut image, being married to seiyuu Sawaguchi Chie and having two kids. Also, Nojima’s one of the few male seiyuu who’s so popular (or so vain) that he has his own website.
03. Kakihara Tetsuya
The Germany-raised cutie pie has wormed his way into many female fans’ hearts with his ‘butter wouldn’t melt in mouth’ boyish good looks. I wouldn’t like him to speak German to me though, since the only words I know are ‘einbahn’, ‘drücken’, ‘danke’ and ‘wiener schnitzel’ - all stuff I learnt on a trip to Austria a few years back ^^;
02. Horie Kazuma
See that pool of dribble on the floor? Yeah, it came from my mouth and continues to do so everytime i see pictures of Kazuma-san. He’s like a more macho, less sleepy-eyed version of Ono Daisuke, and he also looks like he’s in the completely wrong profession. He should be peddling face-cleaning agents and hair care products rather than parading around in cheap T-shirts that say (JE)SUS LOVES YO(U). To be honest, I have no idea what he sounds like but I don’t care, I’d eat Kazuma for breakfast any day.
01. Morita Masakazu
Strange to think that Morita-san is an almost ancient 35, yet he only won an award for Best Newcomer at last year’s Seiyuu Awards. He should’ve won Hawtest Male Seiyuu Over 30 Award or something instead. Look at those eyebrows! I think he’s what makes Ichigo Kurosaki sexy(?) too. Rawrrrr.
OK, fangirling mode over. Back to the report-writing, sadly…. or maybe not. Oh, and yes, I’m going to do a list for the females too, but it’s gonna be slightly different cos erm…..I don’t actually physically fancy women……..たぶん。

Haha, I agree with the previous comment. Irino also has a really cute voice - I loved his role as Daisuke from DNAngel.

I have an eternal image of Miyu as a gawky, nerdy 12-year old kid (from when he was in Spirited Away) burnt into my mind. So it’s hard for me to change my perception of him now, heh. That, plus the fact that he’s got a girl’s name ^^;;;

my sister finds jun fukuyama hot. she’s asking why he’s not in the list. well, personally, i like his voice. i just wish he became a voice. nope! hahaha. juz kiddin. i was wonderin’ what Hiro Shimono looks like coz his voice sounds kool.
