Voice & Heart Seiyuu Agency Mass Exodus
Is the Voice & Heart seiyuu agency about to bite the dust? I think they’re more or less dead now, with almost all the voice actors on their books being transferred to other, more established seiyuu agencies. At least I was right that with Inoue Marina moving on I didn’t feel Asumi Kana would stick around for much longer.
I think Marina’s move to Sigma Seven was good from the point of view that the agency doesn’t have that many huge female seiyuu stars - Mizuki Nana is the most recognisable name; followed by Yukana, Tamagawa Sakiko and Matsuo Yoshio ^_^ So she’s more or less a big fish in an average-sized pond, or will eventually be anyway.
On the other hand, 81produce has a very diverse and overwhelmingly large number of female seiyuu that I’m sure a lot of people will have heard of - the likes of Takayama Minami, Toyoguchi Megumi, Yuzuki Ryoka, Shimizu Ai, Shinohara Emi, Goto Saori and Matsuki Miyu; and that’s just off the top of my head. Guess it’s clear that Asumin isn’t aiming to be an idol (she doesn’t sing that well anyway) and will be focusing on building a solid voice acting career - that’s fine in my book, she was hardly doing anything notable in between Hidamari Sketch and Shugo Chara anyway.
The moves in full:
・Inoue Marina - Sigma Seven
・Asumi Kana (Yuno in Hidamari Sketch) - 81produce
・Ohara Momoko (Ninomiya-kun in Minami-ke) - Mausu Promotion
・Yasushi Yurino - Mausu Promotion
・Matsuzaki Rei - Mausu Promotion
** ・Hayama Tatsuya - Holy Peak **
** ・Komori Manami - Pro-Fit **
The only ones left: ・Hayama Tatsuya (Minami Akira in Minami-ke) ・Komori Manami (radio personality)
Are Sony abandoning Voice & Heart to focus on their new Music Ray’n potentials maybe? Voice & Heart is officially dead.
