Warning: Kaneda Tomoko Starts Blogging… Or Has She?
Rejoice! Kaneda Tomoko has started a blog. Titled カネトモ地獄。早起きは三文の毒!! (KaneTomo Hell. ‘Getting Up Early’ is a Three-Word Poison!! – sorry for terrible Engrish translation), it’s bright, cheerful and… empty. Nope, there aren’t any posts on it at all =_=
And yet it’s No.2 on Ameba’s blog rankings under the seiyuu category. Certainly, the blog has generated a fair amount of publicity on 2channel and I’m sure we’re all looking forward to whatever shit KaneTomo-sensei puts out. I mean, just look at her damned profile on the page:
趣味:じゃがいも食べ歩き。 [Hobby: Eating potatoes while walking]
特技:鳥のくちばし。[Special Skills: A bird's beak]
自己紹介:ヘリウムガスを吸っても、あまり声が変わりません [Self-intro: Even if I inhaled helium, my voice wouldn't change that much]
Seriously, I have no bloody idea what that is all about. I just know she’s got twenty thousand screws loose in her head and I want to read more of her philosophical ramblings. So hurry up and update the damn thing, you loli-obasan on helium.

35 years-old????
You know what, I’m making her my role model from now on
She’ll always be Renge for me!
Oh man, I laughed so hard at the Helium gas one. You should translate all her future blog posts for us poor moonrune-handicapped =D
Hocchan’s acting skill is fairly good, while KaneTomo is not supposed to voice anything older than Chiyo or a Digimon.
Anyhow rejoice for the blog! I hope she quickly put something there so I can add it to my Google reader.
ROFL at her “(苦笑)” after the self-intro thing. ^^;
=_=” That’s Chiyo’s seiyuu?? O_o
In the first photo, she looks like Hanazawa Kana, doesn’t she? She seems like a cool person. Too bad I really don’t enjoy her voice that much.
Actually I think her blog will be hilarious because we don’t actually have to listen to her voice! I’m sure if u took a transcript of everything she said on radio shows etc it would be funny…it’s just u can’t listen to her voice for more than 5 minutes a day or ur brain explodes.
Do keep us updated if u can
That’s Chiyo-chan’s seiyuu? *headdesk*
Seriously, listening to KaneTomo on the radio is something I WOULD NOT recommend. It’s dangerous for your health ^^ There was once when Kitamura Eri guested on her show, and we all know how crazy KitaEri can get sometimes… but even she couldn’t keep up with Kaneda at all. I pity the poor assistants who have to put up with her antics week in week out…
She looks… a lot better than the image of her I had in my head. Seriously though, she has a voice that has never failed to give me a headache within seconds of listening to it. Still, a blog is a good idea for her… reading her insanity is much better (for both her sake and ours) than LISTENING to it.
I remember seeing a video where she was in a costume and drunk, maybe it was here.

My ears…they bleed…
(Curls up into the fetal position)
Ah… that interview episode, j1m0ne posted it before. I don’t think she was drunk, just being in a jolly mood.
For those who want to enjoy it again:

I wonder how she was back in university (and in engineering at that). She must have been some “pet” of her class and professors.
Omigosh….!! Does she normally talk like this? Like as if someone messed with the pitch to make it sound like chipmunks @_@
“[Self-intro: Even if I inhaled helium, my voice wouldn't change that much]”
So. Fucking. True.
And if KitaEri actually loses out to her in weirdness… oh dear god. I never knew she was THIS crazy.
o.o;; That was the sound of my brain dying a horrible death.
I’m more amazed at the fact that she’s the same seiyu who voiced Gretel in Black Lagoon.
Also, I read somewhere her voice can make sounds that even humans can’t hear… O.o; Is that even possible?!
Wait, she’s crazier than KitaEri, for Christ’s sake. Of course it’s possible…
LMAO Tomo-sensei sure seems to be popular.
I think the sound of her voice was probably enough to make her professors give her good grades so that she’d shut up.
Wow, she’s 35? Not bad. Of course, she still has a 10-year-old’s voice and can supposedly imitate a dog whistle, so I’m not too surprised. And what a loon! I too hope she’ll get the chance to share her otherworldly wisdom with us on her blog soon.
