Weekly News Shorts

A few notes and updates – I’ve been rather busy at work these few days and have been getting back into playing Stepmania at nights to unwind before going to bed at the early hour of 11pm. As a result, I’ve still not watched any of the new summer anime or dorama yet, sadly. Anyway, moving on…

This Week’s Kitamura Eri on ChoRaji

Poor Kitamura Eri was ‘crying’ on her radio show because she won’t be able to attend Mizuki Nana’s live shows this weekend due to work commitments (despite constant with to her agency), and made a passionate appeal to her listeners to provide detailed reports for her if they went. KitaEri also mentioned that she apologised to Nana about not being able to make it, but I have a sneaky feeling Nana must’ve been secretly relieved to be rid of her stalker. Oh, and ON/OFF were guests on this week’s show and I think KitaEri kinda freaked them out with her fangirlism.

Anyway, she also spent some time talking about the sleeve for her upcoming REALIZE single and she said something about a ‘rock’ image so I went to check out the pictures.

…I didn’t think KitaEri looked that round? Fire the make-up artist and stylist pronto! I think she looks better natural (and in B&W):

She also talked a bit about RONDO ROBE and how she was playing Monster Hunter backstage with Saiga Mitsuki, Ueda Kana and Nabatame Hitomi. What I want to know is, were they all expecting to be so bored that they brought along their DSes, or are they just addicted to MonHan?

And here’s a picture of the (only) guys in the event, (from L to R) – Hino Satoshi, Nakamura Yuichi, Maeno Tomoaki & Koyama Rikiya.

Radio

There’s a couple of belated anime radio shows starting, namely Druaga, Vampire Knight, Zettai Karen Childen and Soul Eater. Some of the other new ones just beginning their runs include summer shows World Destruction and Koihime Musou. The one for Druaga had particularly interested me as they managed to get KENN and Orikasa Fumiko together to host it, and the latter very rarely does radio shows. I think it kinda shows too, cos I was bored to tears. World Destruction (with Furuya Tohru & Kobayashi Yu) was awfully dull too. Zettai Karen Children was funny, mainly because of Kosugi Jurota.

Toshokan Senso may be over, but the radio shows will continue running til December.

Tomatsu Haruka Corner
It seems Tomatsu Haruka’s debut single, due for release on 3rd September, is actually called Hoshi Hiroi (ホシヒロイ), which probably means naissance will be the c/w song instead. No word on whether Hoshi Hiroi will be a tie-up for anything, it probably won’t be Kannagi (which should starts in October) and ToLove-Ru is not likely either. There’s two versions of the single, one of which includes a DVD and I presume, PV footage. Below is the Koko wa Greenwood ending sequence, and I guess naissance is a half-decent song in a boring YUI kind of way.

Still on Tomatsu news – the second volume of the Joshi Daisei Kaikeishi no Jikenbo audio novel is out, and her agency mate Takagaki Ayahi (Noe in true tears) joins the cast. FeBe has a short interview with the two of them, where we learn that Tomatsu’s kanji reading skills are rubbish. Thankfully she doesn’t say ‘Ano’ that often this time.

Tomatsu Haruka’s going to be a guest on Anispa tonight.

Misc
Ono Daisuke’s second single due 6th August, is called Manatsu no Spica.

Oh, and everyone probably knows by now that some fool threatened to ram a truck into Mizuki Nana fans. I was actually more interested in the fact that nikkansports.com labeled Nana a ‘bijin seiyuu’ (beautiful seiyuu – 美人声優)… especially when I look at wiki and it tells me “Bijin are generally symmetrical, adorned, occasionally cute”.

  • LOL bijin seiyuu… I mean, of course she’s a bijin seiyuu! *coughs*
Maeno looks so goofy, I think I should start listening to this Toshokan Sensou radio show…

  • I just realized you went full post feed (instead of hidden content after jump). Great! ;-)

Nana Mizuki == Princess Maker 4 Special Edition for DS 2008-09-11
This game is two years old (PS -> PC, PSP) but finally getting a DS port. There’s a short interview the game site:
    http://www.princessmaker4.com/ds/inter.html

Nana Mizuki == Happy Dance Collection for Wii 2008?!? Take all the things that NBGI learned from Idolm@ster and add a real idol seiyuu. Can you imagine “Go My Way” Nana Mizuki version?!? Yup, finally a reason to buy a Wii.
    Short interview in Famitsu.

Eri Kitamura == I want to watch Kodomo no Jikan season 2. hau hau

Monster Hunter is so fapping boring. “Now Loading”. How can anyone stand it, nya?!?

What I want to know is, were they all expecting to be so bored that they brought along their DSes, or are they just addicted to MonHan?

I think they’ve addicted to MonHan. Actually They alway carry theirs PSP all the times (also play on train).

The more I want to know is who’s eles that play MonHan besides Saiga-san, Naba-nee, Kana-sama. (Shimizu Kaori ?)

And Why Nakahara Mai be the leader of Anti-Monhan group?

Bijin seiyuu….the last time I read those words, it was in an article about Mai Nakahara. Glad to see that Nana Mizuki is now described as such.

Yes I gave in to full feed. Because I like blogs that use it myself >_>

Oh and I wonder why on earth I said DS instead of PSP >_>

  • Go, go, bijin seiyuu! xD
LOL I was just going to mention the DS-typo. Everyone plays MonHan. And I bring my PSP everywhere I go too, so it’s pretty normal, I guess. :P
@ piyo: DS port huh? The sound quality will go down a lot. I’ll stick with older ver.

  • @j1m0ne: ;-) Now how about fixing the timezone?! ;-)

@danie~: Yeah, I was trying to give MonHan 1 and 2 a shot but the first couple of hours just doesn’t hook me. Too little gain/game for the time input. Then again I’ve pretty much swore off digital gaming on my commutes; I play Rubik’s Cube instead. No “now loading” oh yeah.

And yeah, I’m not expecting great things from the Princess Maker 4 DS port, because they are cutting out the voices from all the other characters. However, there will be some additional voice when you “touch communicate”. (Still, another opportunity to collect telephone cards. Naoto Tenhiro FTW tee ehe)

  • @j1m0ne: Oh wait, the timezone seems right. So solly. :-/
    You’re GMT+0800 (1 hour behind Japan) right?

  • j1m0ne

Timezone is definitely correct from my point of view ;)
